Aldbury is a small village in my constituency with a picturesque landscape and beautiful 19th century homes. There is evidence of there being a settlement there going back to 10 BC and the village has several buildings with particularly interesting histories.
The Parish of Saint John the Baptist is an excellent example of Early English Church style which has been restored and expanded over the centuries. The village was named as one of the best places to move to by the Telegraph and its clear why. Its old houses and ponds makes it amongst the most charming villages in my constituency.
The village is also home to a number of excellent businesses, such as The Greyhound Inn and the Musette Cafe.
*DID YOU KNOW* The Greyhound Inn features briefly in a scene on the DVD version of the 2004 film “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason”!
