Chorleywood is a thriving village in the south of my constituency with a buzzing High Street that has dozens of fantastic small businesses, many of which I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. It manages to balance quiet countryside living with a convenient link to London through it own Metropolitan Railway Station.
*DID YOU KNOW* In the early 1960s, researchers at the British Baking Industries Research Association in Chorleywood improved upon an earlier American bread-making process. This resulted in the Chorleywood bread process, which is now used in over 80% of commercial bread production throughout the UK
Being named the 'Happiest Place to Live in the UK' in 2004, Chorleywood certainly brings a smile to my face whenever I have pleasure to visit. It has some excellent schools as well as businesses such as The Black Horse Pub.
*DID YOU KNOW* The Black Horse was featured in the Peep Show. Chorleywood has a strong history of being used as a filming location, with the Royal Masonic School featuring in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
