The quality of health and social care in our area must not be harmed by pausing or cancelling the planned New Watford General Hospital.

The £400 million of funding for this essential project, which I helped to secure under the last Conservative Government, is vital to ensure everyone can access a high standard of healthcare in South West Hertfordshire. I hope that the Labour MP for Watford, Matt Turmaine, will work with me to ensure that this project isn't paused or scrapped and that the wellbeing of people in our area comes before politics.

Advocating for this project's completion remains one of my top priorities, and I will not stop pushing for it.
