Gagan Mohindra has received high levels of correspondence from concerned residents and parents regarding Hertfordshire County Council's proposed plans to use the former caretaker's bungalow at Bridgewater Primary School in Berkhamsted for adult social care purposes.
Whilst contacting Hertfordshire County Council about this decision, Gagan raised the issue with the Minister for Children, Families and Wellbeing, Claire Coutinho. After meeting Minister Coutinho, Gagan requested a follow-up meeting with Hertfordshire County Council to discuss this further.
Gagan was pleased to meet with Scott Crudington, the Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director of Resources at Hertfordshire County Council, and is pleased that Hertfordshire County Council have agreed to pause these current plans to explore the potential to use it for educational purposes and for children with special needs.
Talks between Bridgewater Primary School and Hertfordshire County Council are ongoing and Gagan is continuing to monitor the progress of these discussions.
