On Friday 7th December, Gagan Mohindra MP hosted a Roundtable with pubs in the constituency to discuss the hospitality industry.
The Roundtable allowed the owners to discuss their experience with restrictions, guidelines, and grant applications with other businesses in the constituency.
Following this meeting, Gagan tabled a question to the Department for Business, Energy and industrial Strategy (BEIS) to ensure that the Government encouraged patrons to visit local pubs and breweries across South West Hertfordshire. Paul Scully MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for BEIS further emphasized the Department’s work on the Hospitality Recovery strategy and the Government’s work to help venues become Covid-19 secure.
Following the meeting, Gagan said: “It was great to meet with multiple pubs from across South West Hertfordshire and discuss the issues facing them throughout the pandemic. It is important for me to host such events to learn more about local issues and to hear how the Government can support such businesses in the future.”
