The Labour Government are getting planning policy all wrong, and their proposals could wreck our communities and natural areas.
That’s why I’ve written to the Secretary of State for Housing, Angela Rayner, to raise my concerns about the proposed changes to the National Planning Policy Framework. These changes could place an unsustainable burden on rural and semi-rural areas, including South West Hertfordshire, by reducing housebuilding in cities and putting disproportionate pressure on our green belt and infrastructure.
We must ensure that housing targets are set with local input, so we can protect our green spaces, maintain vital infrastructure, and preserve the character of our communities.
