Today Gagan met with Alfie Bailey-Bearfield from Pancreatic Cancer UK to discuss this important type of cancer. Pancreactic Cancer UK state that Pancreatic cancer is the 5th biggest cancer killer in the UK with 9,000 deaths every year and it is important that life-saving research continues to take place to support patients and their families.
Gagan has heard from many people in the constituency over the past few weeks about their personal experiences with this disease, and he was pleased to be able to attend the Pancreatic Cancer Drop In Event today here in Parliament to hear about the importance of raising awareness of the symptoms and working towards more effective treatments.
