Gagan Mohindra was delighted to hold another ‘Summer Work Experience Week’ in South West Hertfordshire where he volunteered a day of his time at an individual business to learn more about what they do and how he can help as their Member of Parliament.
During the week, Gagan visited Thames Water at Maple Lodge, The Kitchen Croxley Green, Bryants Nurseries in Bovingdon, and The Royal Voluntary Service Lunch Club in Mill End. Tasks varied throughout the week, ranging from helping take cake orders to removing wet wipes from a sewage treatment system. Gagan thoroughly enjoyed working with these different businesses to hear more about the concerns of small businesses.
After completing the week, Gagan commented: “As Parliament is currently in recess, not only have I taken the opportunity to work alongside my constituents, but I have heard first-hand the issues that many of the small business owners in my constituency are facing including the rise in utility bills and the cost of ingredients, as well as local issues such as parking and transport. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I am grateful to all of the local businesses who have welcomed me during the week. I will continue to do what I can to support our excellent local businesses and high streets in South West Hertfordshire.”
