Gagan Mohindra has welcomed the announcement by the Department of Transport that Berkhamsted and Tring railway stations are two of 53 stations across the South East where commuters will be able to 'tap in and tap out' when travelling.
Commuters will no longer have to worry about planning ahead to get the best prices or fumbling through their wallets to find the right ticket – instead they can use their bank card or smart device to just tap-in on the reader knowing they will automatically be guaranteed the best price available on the day of travelling.
Following the announcement, Gagan said: "As many of my constituents will know, I have campaigned since the day of my election to ensure residents have access to reliable transport. I am pleased that today's announcement continues the modernisation of Berkhamsted and Tring stations to make travelling on our local railways easier than ever with the touch of a debit card."
