Gagan Mohindra, the Member of Parliament for South West Her9ordshire, was joined by the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, and his wife, Akshata Murthy, in Rickmansworth on Bank Holiday Monday to take part in ‘The Big Help Out’.
Gagan and the Prime Minister visited the Royal Volunteering Society Mill End Lunch Club as part of the 'Big Help Out' iniNaNve which aims to raise awareness of volunteering throughout the UK and provide opportuniNes for people to experience volunteering and make a difference in their communiNes. Whilst there, Gagan, the Prime Minister and his wife met volunteers from the Royal Volunteering Service whilst helping to prepare and serve lunch to the guests.
Following the visit, Gagan commented: “It has been a real pleasure to welcome the Prime Minister and his wife to Rickmansworth to see some of the excellent local initiatives we have here in South West Hertordshire. The Coronation celebrations seen over the weekend has shone a light on the excellent communities we have here, and I am grateful to all of those who volunteer both locally and nationally to play a vital role in the lives of so many. I look forward to welcoming the Prime Minister and his wife again in the future to continue showing them more of our excellent communities, businesses and individuals that make South West Hertordshire a fantastic place to live.”
