Gagan Mohindra MP has shared his disappointment that the High Court has ruled in favour of the legality of the Labour Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, and his decision to expand the London-wide Ultra Low Emissions Zone.
Following the verdict, Gagan commented: "Whilst the court may have ruled that the expansion is legal, I believe it is morally wrong for my constituents, who were unable to vote for the London Mayor, to be subject to a form of taxation introduced by Mr Khan. I am concerned how this will affect those in South West Hertfordshire who may travel to London for work or other important appointments, and I will continue to work with my colleagues to oppose this and I will assess available options to support my constituents against the expansion."
