Gagan Mohindra MP has spoken out in opposition during the Planning Inspectorate's Inquiry into Redrow PLC's proposed application for 1,400 homes to be built in Marshcroft towards the east of Tring.
This application was initially rejected by Dacorum Borough Council, but this has been appealed by the applicants. Since being elected in 2019, Gagan has continued to oppose developments on the Green Belt which is valued by so many in South West Hertfordshire.
Following his intervention at the inquiry, Gagan commented: "I am concerned about the effect this application may have on our Green Belt, local biodiversity and infrastructure if approved by the Planning Inspectorate. I do hope the Planning Inspectorate will rule in favour of Dacorum Borough's Council initial decision on this matter and protect the stunning Green Belt landscape in Tring."
