Gagan spent Remembrance Sunday in South West Hertfordshire. He laid wreaths at both St Peter’s in Berkhamsted and Christ Church in Chorleywood. The latter service was attended by the Lord Lieutenant for Hertfordshire, Robert Voss, as well as a number of local councillors and community figures. Present at both were groups of military veterans. As part of the service he gave a reading from the Bible.
Both services were well attended and touched on key themes of duty, reflection and selfless service, as well as a desire for peace.
Gagan commented:
“These services were particularly moving and I was glad to have spent this important day of reflection in the company of so many current and ex-service personnel and their families. To this end, I made several other visits relating to Remembrance Sunday and Armistice, including a trip to the Royal British Legion branch in Berkhamsted.”
He was grateful to have been asked to participate in those events.
