On Monday the 31st January, Gagan Mohindra MP visited local businesses on Tring High Street to discuss their history and experience throughout the pandemic.
The first store Gagan visited was Metcalfes Home Hardware, which has provided hardware to locals since 1948. Gagan enjoyed learning about the family-run business and their hard work assisting locals throughout the pandemic.
Following this, Gagan visited Almar Tring Ltd. The printing firm is another veteran of Tring High Street and has supported businesses and consumers for decades. Gagan spoke to the owners about their plans to install new machinery which will allow them to increase their range of garments services. They also discussed the business’s as work to send garments to Africa.
Following this, Gagan met with Storia restaurants. He spoke to the owners about the success of their Italian restaurant which opened in 2021 as well as their previous restaurant experience.
Finally, Gagan visited On The Limit Gym. Gagan was pleased to hear how the gym adapted to the pandemic and how they helped their members stay healthy through their innovative adaptations. They also discussed financial support that has been available to gyms.
