Gagan Mohindra MP participated in the Industry and Parliament Trust’s (IPT) Poppy appeal to raise money for the Royal British Legion (RBL) by riding a static bike as quickly as he could for 5 minutes.
The RBL will celebrate their centenary year throughout 2021 with events including the 5th IPT Poppy Ride. All the money raised on the day helps The Royal British Legion provide lifelong financial, social, and emotional support for the Armed Forces.
MPs and Peers have taken part in the 12-hour static bike ride, each cycling as far as they can on an exercise bike in 5 minutes; trying to beat their colleagues to top the leader board.
After riding 2.2km in 5 minutes Gagan said: “The Royal British Legion’s work for our veterans is cause close to my heart. I am honoured to have done my bit in raising funds for their 2021 campaign and look forward to raising more funds in the future."
