Gagan has been working to improve connectivity across his constituency since being elected. Gagan was glad to have the opportunity to ask the new Prime Minister in Prime Ministers Questions about the rollout of Project Gigabit, an infrastructure project designed to deliver digital connectivity for the country.
Gagan spoke about specific places in his area, such as Dudswell which needs additional support due to its lack of a stable internet connection. Gagan was pleased to receive assurances from the Prime Minister that the rollout of ultrafast broadband is a key part of the Government’s levelling up agenda, and that Hertfordshire is in procurement to receive gigabit coverage soon.
This followed on from a meeting Gagan had with Anna Jensen from Netomnia, a company involved in building the required infrastructure for a fibre broadband rollout across the country, including in South West Hertfordshire.
