Gagan regularly converse with parents in our area whose children have special educational needs and requirements. Gagan is aware of the ongoing issues with SEND provision in our area that are causing concern.
Gagan was glad to meet with David Johnston MP, the Minister for Children, Wellbeing and Families, to discuss the improvement board that has been appointed for this area and the progress that is already being made.
Gagan was pleased to hear that Hertfordshire will receive £8.7 million more this year in high-needs funding, and he spoke to the Minister about the potential of a new school for children who require additional support being opened in our area.
Gagan knows the importance of high-quality education to ensure every child can reach their full potential. Improving the quality of SEND provision in our area remains one of his top priorities.
