Today Gagan was highly motivated to visit a Prostate Cancer event in Parliament and play his role in helping to spread awareness about this type of cancer. It was great to learn about some of the developments in early diagnosis and treatment which is a testament to the hard work of everyone working in cutting edge research to reduce and cure cancer.
Gagan is forty-five which is the age when the risk of prostate cancer becomes apparent which is why it is so important to encourage men to get tested. This is due to a number of factors, one of which is a lack of awareness among men who are statistically at risk.
This is an issue that strikes a chord with Gagan personally, as he is sure it does with many men of his age, and because of that he will continue to work with the Government to expand the prostate cancer testing programme. In the meantime, Gagan encourages every man of the relevant age to get tested where possible.
